great deal, i paid 30,995 for my sahara back in november 07, but I couldnt wait for a rubicon to pop since my truck had gotten stolen and was without wheels for over a month, but otherwise you got a great deal on yours
So this is probably a really dumb question but can someone tell me where I can find the invoice price on the Jeep I am looking at? I mean is this something the stealership provides or something I can find on the net. Please help, I am going to start negotiating for one soon and obviously want to make sure I get my money’s worth. The sale guy just e-mailed me and told me the MSRP was $32,240. It’s a 2008 black Sahara with what appears to be a 3: aftermarket lift on it and some pro-comp rims and 33” bfg’s mt. Anyone have any thoughts? It is fully loaded mygig duel tops, all the bells and whistles please let me know what you guys think I should be paying. Thanks for any input.

Actually -- Maybe I was unclear or I did get screwed, but I paid $31,480 out the door (tax was 6.25) -- was given 10k for my trade and paid the remainder $21,480 by down payment and financing at 0%. Total price for the jeep I purchased is less out the door than the one you are looking at. You may be getting screwed in your negotiations.
Understood -- I was clear as mud in my "first post." I will have to use better care in the future. The jeep is black and the hard top came off for the first time today and will likely stay off for the foreseeable future. I will throw up the soft top for the rainy days. It has been fantastic thus far (3 days).
Congratulations on your great deal I bought mine in 2007 when people were following the trucks to the dealerships to buy a Rubicon. I happened to hit a dealer the morning after a delivery and bought it at sticker (before they raised the price for market adjustment).
For those of you who are in the market for a new Jeep Wrangler, here's the final deal I got on the 2009 Wrangler 4 dr Rubi that I ordered in September and picked on Monday evening (see my posts elsewhere). I ordered it with every available option EXCEPT the engine block heater, remote start and front seat airbags so it's almost fully loaded.
MSRP with options: $36,845
My price (before title, tax and tags): $30,445
I'm not sure it's possible to get a better deal so if you're in the market, go for it!

The bottom line...
You should be able to get a fully loaded '09 4dr Rubicon in this market for about 30k before title, tax and tags. Maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more. IMO, if you want one, go for it. It's good for the economy and the price will go up when they've laid off so many workers that supply is constrained.
BTW, watch out for significant inflation in a couple of years across the board. You can't just print a couple trillion dollars to throw at the current problems and avoid it.
