Financing question
My wife went to look at the H3s a few months back. They have all these commercials and banners at the dealership saying 299/month lease. Once we ran the numbers the actual payments were much higher. Afterwords the salesguy says no one can really qualify for those leases. They include ALL incentives like student, military, loyalty, first time buyer, senior, and some others. So you have to be a senior citizen, in the military and in school, and have purchased a GM before BUT also be a first time buyer.
The whole time we were there ALL he wanted to de is get a VIN and run numbers. I kept telling him forget the VIN... if I get a vehicle with a sticker of "such and such" what will the lease payment be. He disappears for 30 minutes and comes back with a truck. He said he got it from another lot ( up the highway ). Finally we just randomly chose a truck to run numbers... the lease turned out to be almost 500 a month ( this truck had a 299/month tag hanging from the mirror ). My wifes credit is perfect and mine is better.

good heads up, thanks
both terms were 39 months.
The same deal they quoted me is on the hummer website. Click specials, then H3 and it will show you the terms. The funny thing is that Jeep has a lease special showing on their web site as well. The lease is for $269 with $1999 down. When I asked about this special they said it was a bare bones 4 door JK. No top, no a/c...nothing. There is no way anyone can buy it that way. Just wait till it rains

.so you are saying that with fees etc., you handed the dealer a check for about $600 and now you are paying $389/mo.?
i lease from independent leasing companies which usually saves me a buck or two and im done with everything in no time flat.
before i got my jeep i hadnt had a car for almost a year, i rode a motorcycle for a year straight.....actually more like 372 days. after looking for almost 3 months for my exact jeep, and having 5 different dealers trying to locate me one, i had about given up. then one day i was out crusing on the scooter and stopped in a jeep dealership and there she was. it was the exact jeep i wanted but it had a sold tag. i was pissed.... as i was looking at the sticker and saw that it was special ordered for some guy and it had some kind of paper work filled out sitting in the driver seat stating that the jeep had been delivered almost a week before. something was odd with that picture, knowing how long most folks were waiting for their orders, i had a gut feeling this thing was infact not truely sold.
so the next morning i called my leasing guy and he found out that it was in fact not sold and it was mine for the taking. he drove 50+ miles to come get the jeep then drove another 15 miles to my house where i signed the papers sitting on my couch and drinking a Sam Adams . i tipped him a 100 bucks for the effort and was done in about 20 minutes.

This is very interesting. Do you have any info on independent leasing companies? Is this something anyone can do?
yes, dead serious. i think with the first months payment and the usual fees plus tip i was just a tick over 700 bucks.
just about the only thing my sahara doesnt have is an automatic.
i can take a picture of my monthly bill statement if you want. keep in my i dont lease my jeep from jeep/chrysler/dodge/DC, wells fargo is who i leased through. their residual was a little better and they offered me a better interest rate.
thanks for the quick reply. i've been a little skeptical about this deal. i'm currently driving a fully loaded 2005 grand cherokee that stickered for $42,200. my lease payment is $549.
now, i want this sahara (same dealer) which stickers for $11,000 less, and the payment only went down 50 bucks.
i'm going to see a few dealers tomorrow.
