Thanks for all the replies. My only concern with 4.10 gears is I travel between NC and North Florida about 5 times a year and its all interstate.

I've looked at several Rubicons but most have been about 3-4k higher. I also don't have any plans to offroad so I'm not sure I'd use all of the features.

In that case [not offroading] I would go with a lesser model, loaded with the options you want, and save a few bucks to modify the things you would like to.

If you plan to run 35s in the future, then the 4.10s will work out well for your travels. For me the 4.10s seemed a little over geared for the stock tires but I knew I was eventually going to be running 35s. Now the two complaments each other and saves me from regearing....Best of luck on your choice...

Alright so your on the forums already which leads me to believe that when you get one your gonna get the itch to start modding and the itch to take it offroad. Even if it's simple mudding or something. 4.10 gearing should only make your traveling easier. But even the '13 Rubis were more expensive?

Deal can be had on a Rubi if you look. Mine stickered at $43k and I paid $36. Just look around.

My goal was to pay around 31k to 32k before Tax, etc. I don't think thats doable on a Rubi. Otherwise that would be my preference.

Is it imperative you go brand new. Can find great deals on used with very low miles and still has all the warranty. And new model. There are tons of soccer moms or true mall crawlers who but wranglers cause they think its cool but don't like the ride quality or other reasons and trade it in almost immediately.

31-32 on a new Rubi or Sahara is a stretch I think. Mine was loaded, but a stick with cloth and 130, sof top might get close. Or buy used but it's not much of a discount.

Yes a Rubi costs more, but saves the re-gearing, as it comes with 4.1 .
35"s and minimal lift (to make sure the wheels don't rub on anything), and you're settled, and it would look better.
The lockers aren't useless, think snow or whatever.

And yes, you'll probably get the itch to enjoy it 'off-asphalt' in some nice places...
Welcome aboard
