First Post a few questions
I'm new to Jeeps and this forum. I've been into muscle cars and motorcycles for years and I've now I find myself looking at my first Jeep. I drove a 2014 Sahara around for a day, I thought driving a manual again would be fun but as it turns out I think I'd rather an auto. Is there and advantage or disadvantage between auto or manual?
My second question is the one I'm leaning toward is a 2014 Sahara, Auto, Premium soft top, Max Tow, Remote Start, 430n stereo. MSRP is $37,015. What would be a really good deal on this truck?
Thanks in advance!

With the 3.6 motor either the 6 speed or the 5 speed auto are about the same when it comes to performance so imo pick the one you want to drive.
Don't know about the price but these things sure have gone up a ton in price. If you think you might go to a bigger tire at some point make sure you don't get 3.21 gearing in the axles go with the 3.73 ratio

I'd recommend going for a rubicon in that price range. You won't regret it, but you could end up regretting spending that kind of dough and not getting one!

I love my rubi, and for the price you are saying, might as well go for one. I paid less for a new rubi with every option except leather heated seats and hard top. . I could have had the hardtop for an additional 1500 which would have put me at 38000, but I chose against it (stupid me because soft tops are easy and cheaper to come by)... I was driving a stock x unlimited before my rubi.. I love my rubi, but if you aren't going to wheel, save your money and get a base model work options. .. If you ever plan on wheeling, and are willing to spend that much, might as well get the rubi. . Just my 2 cents

The 5-gear auto trans of the 3.6L is nice on roads and won't limit you offroad, except for maybe the most extreme, and even then the difference isn't very big.
For water fording, the auto has an advantage over the manual. Pressing the clutch allows water to get in.
If you plan on 35" wheels or larger, the 3.73 isn't enough.
For 35"s, if you don't want it sluggish, I'd say 4.1 ~ 4.56 .
