xxx.eatbeefmudflaps.com. They have several varieties and have a buttload in stock. All made in the USA. They are like $40 and you have to make your own mounting system, but I think they are pretty cool.

Just my opinion but The cop was being a wiener.

27600. No person shall operate any motor vehicle having three or more wheels, any trailer, or semitrailer unless equipped with fenders, covers, or devices, including flaps or splash aprons, or unless the body of the vehicle or attachments thereto afford adequate protection to effectively minimize the spray or splash of water or mud to the rear of the vehicle and all such equipment or such body or attachments thereto shall be at least as wide as the tire tread. This section does not apply to those vehicles exempt from registration, trailers and semitrailers having an unladen weight of under 1,500 pounds, or any vehicles manufactured and first registered prior to January 1, 1971, having an unladen weight of under 1,500 pounds.

I would just go get some cheap floor mats and Jerry rig a quick setup- then after it is signed off, yank them off

Yeah, that's total BS. I would see if you have a cop friend that might be willing to just sign off the ticket for you without the hassle of getting stupid mud-flaps. There's a good chance you can just walk in to any police station and show them your flares and they will just sign it off and that will be that. If not, you could just pay the $20 instead of the $10 and forget about it until next time. I've gotten 3 "no front plate" fix it tickets in the last couple years. I don't even get them signed off-- I just pay the ticket ($20) and that's that. They reduce it to $10 if you actually get it fixed.
