I just did a search, and apparently Ford might be coming out with something later this year. Not sure if it is 100%, but seems possible.

blogs.***********.c*m/6249747/whats-new/new-midsize-trucks-coming-from-ford/index.html

Not sure what the rules are about posting links and what not, just an article about the Ford, some pretty awesome engine options too if it happens.

EDIT:
Well apparently I can't post the site I found this at, it automatically astricks it out, but just do a search for 2010 bronco on google, tons of info. Looks like ford may be coming out with some competition for the Jeep and FJ since the H4 isn't gonna happen.

I found the site you are talking about, if you keep reading that thread you will see some links showing Ford has no plans to build that Bronco. Also Petersens 4WD mag interviewed Ford a few issues back and asked that question. Ford said there are no plans at all to bring that to market.

Just curious, why is the G wagon "Far more capable.." Specifically?
You see I drive a G Wagon Militarized version for the Forces, (Armoured Reconnaissance), and I don't see it? Sorry, IMO I don't agree, and why the hell would you spend that kind of stupid money when you could have a 6.1 Hemi JK on 37's with Dana 60's for half the cost of the stock G wagon and a quarter the cost of the Military Verson G Wagon???

Yea, they made the 4 Blunder look even more like the matching stove to the Fridge, (FJ). They do look like appliances.

I have owned an h1 hummer, a 4runner, cj-5, 2 tjs, and now my jk. By far!!! Jk is the number 1 in all categories summed up for price, ability, comfort, and style. H1 was new and had mannnnnny issues. Once warranty was up it was gone! Although it turned heads and bull dozed trees like nothing... my jk is my baby. I will take it over any hummer , fj, g wagon (soccer moms bronco) or Asian wannabe p o s

"nice...", modern appliances look, um, nice, yes.
It's styling is confused at best. I don't understand what happend to the computer while it was rendering the middle, oh yea, I forgot, that's where the cat jumped onto the keyboard. It's just sad, like a poser trying to be something it's not.

Yea, that's probably why it's looks bug me so much, (I mean besides the styling cues that seem random and confused), it's because it's trying to be something it isn't, but poses as a jeep to apease the weirdo's that can't understand what a solid axel is.

Like a Frankenstein hodge podge of modern toyoda blunders peiced together with strange Japenese thinking intent on stealing some of the Original Wrangler market.

WTF were they thinking!!?? when they had the original FJ copy of the Wrangler right in front of them. It's just SAD. It could have been a true competitor, but alas, toyoda has other intentions, like, lying, making things that rust, and drive themselves into walls... etc etc.
