Agreed, this is my only real qualm with the forum. I would like to see something a bit more in depth, as I mentioned above, for posting and viewing items for sale in your area. However, something as simple as adding a for sale section to each staging area forum would definitely be a step in the right direction.

How about dropping a pin to get together and ride or help a brother out.

This is a great idea too. I think the owners of this forum have a real opportunity to make it better than every before, without changing the heart and soul that has made it so successful. Almost every type of car has it's own forum these days, but Jeep forums can offer so much more because of Jeep's unique type of application and owner. I don't think any vehicle has the on/off-road versatility or vast amount of modification options that the JK does. Those two qualities, exclusive to Jeeps, present so many opportunities to make this forum better than any other on the internet. I think it would be sad if the new owners let it be just another cookie cutter enthusiast forum without realizing it's true potential in representing the qualities unique to the JK market.

I would like more stickies. Like have one thread of just front bumpers, rear bumpers, sliders , wheels, fenders, tires.... ect

If you have a question of how the fit and finish is just pm the person. Sometimes you go threw a thread and its just people talking and no pictures

The new owners of this forum are dedicated to making JK forum the best Jeep forum out there. This is why we are asking everyone for suggestions and ideas, they truly want to make this a great place to come to where you can express yourself and where your ideas matter. Keep the great ideas coming, trust me, you all are being heard. Think of this as a clean slate to work from. Your ideas can and will make a difference.

That's really awesome to hear, and quite rare these days. It's nice to see that there are still companies out there that care about the quality of service they provide, not just their bottom line.

in the sale section, it would be a great idea to have just a few more sub sections. seems like i see alot of the same things for sale all the time (tops, factory parts, ect...)

Yeah, I think merely adding some more sub categories and a location feature would be perfection. Even if the location feature was just a menu of states to choose from when posting that could be shown in the title of your post, that would suffice. Just something that could give you an idea of where an item is located at a glance.

I would like to see a "Like/Dislike" or a "Thumbs up/Thumbs Down" button press Feedback system at the bottom of each post each of us makes. These could be tied to a members "Reputation rating" which would appear under their username, similar to the # Posts is shown under our avatar. Members with higher rep rating numbers, can be viewed as being more valuable to the community due to their continuous positive contributions to the forum. In other words, get a "Like", earn some positive rep point rating, get a dislike and lose some rep.

Often, I see someone post something and you get a lot of short replies which basically say, "Great Post", or "I fully agree", "Thanks for sharing". The Thumbs up/Thumbs down buttons could help cut down on these short reply counts, yet still get the same message across to the OP, that others appreciated the information. The same thing could be used to let others know that others didn't particularly like the message they had posted, without stirring up an argument but with enough dislikes, the same message could get across to the OP.

You could therefore look at a user's post and see they've been a member since 2007, with 2000 posts, but additionally get a good sense of the type of contribution they have made with those 2000 posts they have made.

I agree aswell. Might make people think a little more before posting.
