Default Gas mileage and top or no top

Anyone notice your mileage appears to be better with the top down?

I notice with the doors off and spare tire off gas mileage is better. Less weight. All I notice with the top off is the radio has to get louder cause I can't hear it over the road and wind noise. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

I notice nothing statistically significant. If you fully removed the soft top I am sure the weight savings would counter any aero disruptions.

X2 on the radio LOL... Mine mileage does not vary enough for me to put the top back on.

I know on mine, removing the hardtop and all the doors takes a good amount of weight off. You can definitely feel the difference driving it. Not sure how much it affects the mileage though

I know my jeep has a little more spunk when she's naked. So, what ever gains i would get I loose cause i'm pushing more on the skinny pedal.
