Default Getting Liquid Wax/Tar/Bugs off

Ok so i got Liquid wax on my plastic trim.

I have tar/bugs whatever on the lower halves of my doors.

I have liquid wax on my rock rails.

What is the safest solvent in regards to the paint to get this stuff off with? It looks terrible right now, mainly the wax.

I have tried a few things. I heard that airline guru's sometimes use peanut butter with a toothbrush. You just touch the toothbrush with a lighter to curl the ends and make it a bit stiffer. I had a detailing brush that I used instead. It worked great, but the peanut oil dries out after a week or so and leaves some nasty residue.

This last week I instead used a very stiff tire sidewall cleaning brush. The ones with plastic bristels, and just normal car wash water. Afterwards, I used 303 Aerospace UV protectant which can usually be found at boat dealerships. This is the solution I am going with. The brush got all of the wax off and the 303 kept the shine on very well.

For the bugs and tar, after the big chunks have been removed by washing, the Mr Clean Magic Eraser works wonders. For the dried wax, you can use Dawn dish soap and a tooth brush.

For the bugs use wet dryer sheets, they will take them right off

Dawn dish detergent does work on the white wax residue. Also, for smaller spots, a regular ol' pencil eraser works wonders.

I bought a foam gun to wash my cars a while ago, and I found letting the foamed carwash sit on the paint for a little while really helps the bugs come off, to the point where my wash mitt gets rid of them with little to no effort.

303 all the way. This stuff really keeps the black fenders looking good.

303 for anything metal, interior, fender and soft top. Best product out there, period. I've been using it for years on my jeep and boat.
