Good Karma
Took the dog out for a hike today and decided to drive for a while on some dirt roads, Rampart Range for you locals. Bout 15 minutes into the fun noticed a white car on a side trail stuck in the snow. Two teenagers trying to dig it out. Stopped and assessed the situation and noticed that they had tow connections on the back frame so I hooked up a strap and pulled them out. Whole thing took about 5 minutes total.
Poor guys had been there about two hours trying to get out. Someone else had even stopped and checked it out and decided not to help them.
They shouldn't have been where they were in the beater car they were driving but hopefully they learned something today. I see a Jeep in the drivers future after he saw how easily I got them out of there with mine.
Still kind of surprised that someone else had stopped but decided to leave them out there. I don't think they were far enough out that they would have froze trying to walk back but it would have been a cold crappy walk out of there. Didn't look like they had proper clothes for an evening out in the mountains either. Oh, well. Lucky for them I felt like driving around today.
