Got an email from Chrysler
So last week I emailed Chrysler about their progress on cheap half doors. I got an email back from Allan. Here it is.
Dear *******:
Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center.
We have reviewed your email regarding your inquiry about the half door
kit. We appreciate the time and effort you took to write to us.
In response to your email, we would like to inform you that the best
resource for your question is the Parts Department of your local
dealership. We suggest that you contact the Parts Department of your
local authorized dealership with your concern and they will gladly
assist you. You can locate a dealership using the "Find a Dealer" tab
on the Jeep website at www.jeep.com.
Furthermore, for more information about the Mopar parts, visit http://www.mopar.com.
In addition, please note that our corporate owner information database
has been updated to reflect the mailing address mentioned in your email.
This will help the post office to deliver mail from us regarding this
vehicle to the new address you provided. If in the future, your vehicle
is involved in a factory recall campaign, you will be notified promptly
by US mail.
If we can be of any assistance to you in the future, please feel free to
contact us. We value you and your business.
Thanks again for your email.
Sincerely,
Allan Darwin

I was talking to the parts guy at a Jeep dealership a couple days ago. I asked if he knew about the half-door kits or any of the new stuff supposedly coming in the June Mopar parts catalog. He hadn't received a new catalog nor did he have a clue about half-door kits.

Form letter in its purest, .. er, form.
What's government bureaucracy got to do with it, Bigshow? Maybe you're thinking of GM.
Anyway, I doubt Mr. Allan Darwin is even there after last week. Some guy named Luigi has his job now.

That is the EXACT email, word for word, that has been posted here for EVERY inquiry ever sent to Jeep asking about ANYTHING.
Send them an email saying "I am looking for a piece of crap"
and you will get a letter back saying...
We have reviewed your email regarding your inquiry about the piece of crap. We appreciate the time and effort you took to write to us.
