Got pulled over last night

For those of you wondering how to do the mount, I found the instruction on this website. I've looked and can't find the original ones I used but I think this is a copy of the first one I looked at...

The cop saw me coming so he raced in the other direction up a block, cut a u-turn, and got behind me. This was at night too, so he never saw my "tool rack" nor the color of my Jeep, which is red. They said red vehicles get pulled over more often.
I recently read an article telling about what to do when you get pulled over. I remembered a lot of those tips and I did all of them when it happened.
He hit his lights right when I turned on a road. Instead of pulling over immediately, I drove up to the next spot and pulled into the gas station and parked in the parking lot. Safe spot out of traffic.
I turned off my Jeep and put my hands on the wheel.
When he asked for my license, registration, and proof of insurance, I told him the registration is in the glove box before I reached for it. This let him know what I was doing. Remember, cops are like snakes, don't make any fast movements around them!
But the best thing was me being honest. He said he knocked the speed down a bit so it won't hurt my insurance BECAUSE I was honest.
I'm not mad at the cop in anyway, it was my fault for being pulled over. I'm really grateful he dropped the speed so it won't hurt my insurance because over the weekend I switched auto insurance companies.
I even told him that I recently got the Jeep, back in May, and I was surprised it took me this long to get pulled over. Sometimes I drive it like it's stolen. But now I need to get easy on the gas.
I've been wanting to install the cruise control unit on my Jeep and this is the good time to do it!
