If the 2012 engine is supposed to be better then you can honestly wait one more summer, can't you?
I just got my 2011 JK X last Saturday and I LOVE it...its my first jeep and I'm hooked. It definitely is not sluggish at all, Its spritely as can be! But then again, so far I've always drove full sized trucks because thats what mamma raised me on so maybe its not so energetic compared to cars some are used to driving.

I might just go buy one today.
I'm tired of waiting and I dont imagine I'll like the aerodynamic changes, the engine will be better, but the MPG gain is minimal...and I'm getting a manual so the seriously improved auto tranny is meaningless to me...

Do you already own a Wrangler?
If not, buy the 2011 today.
If already do, wait untill 2014 if you want to and wait for all the wrinkles to be ironed out.
I got my 2010 the way I wanted it for $20,900 and $500 Mopar cash. If I like the 2014 i'll buy it.
You can always save and get more money but you will never have the time you wasted waiting, back.

I will say, Wait for the 2012
It just around the corner, and all we have here is speculation on what the 2012 have!
If it's true that the new 2012 will have a new engine, it doesn't matter that it's "New"
It's under warranty for 3 years! (if you really worry about the new engine, just get the extended warranty)
And if the new 2012 have a 5 speed gear automatic, then it was worth the wait, as 4 speed transmission was the only draw back on the automatic wrangler.
Expect better deals on the 2011 AFTER the new 2012 will come out,
Every year is the same story, according to the last 3 years, price only gone up by 700-900$ each years when everyone was predicting it to be a couple of thousand... (a very big yawn)

If you want to wait, I can only say DON'T GO TO THE DEALER AND TEST DRIVE ONE... if they have the one you want, you'll buy it!
