When I have the doors off, I love to put my left foot out there on the running board... but only when I'm on a wide road without too much traffic... I see too many people on a regular basis that are distracted and either hug the yellow line or drift over it to risk my leg when they're around!

 

I told my wife that it's safer for her to put her right foot out rather than resting her feet up on the dash like she does. I told her she would look awfully funny with an air bag up her ass if I hit anything.

 

Never wearing sandals... so dont feel it between the toes lol but foot is out as often as possible when driving a manual trans

 

Are you kidding? I love hanging my foot out when the doors are off. I actually don't hang it all out, I sort of prop my foot into the front corner of the doorframe and rest my foot on the bottom hinge. Perfection!

Yes, love doing this! I use the mirror bracket that came with my PM mirror.

 

I have a set of pegs that I bought from a guy how machined them from aluminum they bolt to the bottum door hinge. Every time I take the door off the pegs go on.. So I can hang my foot out comfortably..

 

You can mount them sideways with just a nut bolt and washers, I'll get a pic Tues after work. The bracket i'm making is so that you can mount it they way it is on a bike and be able to fold it up.
