Default Hard top or soft top.

I have both tops. But because of room I can only keep one. I live in New England and had a Tj with a soft top for many years as a daily driver. Just not sure which one to keep.

If I could only have one I'd choose a soft top. I only keep my hard top on a couple months a year anyway.

It really depends on your needs and preference. If you are using the soft top more often, then keep it.

You live in New England ? Iffy weather, security, rear defroster, wiper, SNOW ; I say keep hardtop , get a Frameless Trek Top for Summer. How much room would it take to store ? That's the Frameless part.
Best of both worlds.

I'm not afraid of running a soft top in the winter I did it for 9 years with my Tj. I just don't have storage for the hard top or soft top. Plus with the money I make off the top means more mods.

And security haha. It's a jeep. If someone want to get in they will. I don't do aftermarket radios and amps and stuff. Just waste of money in my opinion.

So this thread isn't really a question, is it ? If your mind was made up, why waste other people's time ?

The soft top should be something you can store in the back of a regular clothes closet, or under a bed..maybe for you it's absolutely impossible to store a soft top, I don't know, but we stored one for a while in a closet. It was for a TJ too.

If daily driving is most of what you do, I'd keep the hardtop if I had to make a choice.

When I rented a 3rd floor apartment in the summer months I had the soft top on I rented a storage unit to store the hardtop in, and then in the fall I cancelled it and just stored the soft top in a closet and under the bed.....
