Default Hardtop

Yesterday I allowed my friend to park my JK in the garage. I have my hardtop sitting toward the front of the garage on some towels. As he was pulling into the garage (I wad directing him) he accelerated too much and rammed my JK into my leg and into the hardtop. After being taken to the ER and they cleared me to leave with just some deep bruises I noticed that my hardtop had a gash in the top left corner on the back. The gash/crack is about 6 in long and about 1/4 deep. The piece is still together and nothing fell apart. I was wondering if there is any way to fix the crack at home without having to go to an auto body shop and experience some highway robbery. Thanks in the advance.

If you go to the hardware store you can find a product that goes in your caulking gun that is made for roofs. A gold tube and it's black. Once it cures after a few hours it will have a bond like concrete but can stretch like rubber. Made by PL. When you install it make sure you DO NOT get it on your clothes. It will not come out. It makes a great water tight seal. I use it all the time when I fix roofs that have been seriously leaking.

I'm sorry I have a JK at 16? I can see there are some smartasses on here. Whatever, some people just don't have the Jeep mentality.
