Let's get this thread on track....

Look for a fiberglass repair kit at a home store or a boat supply store. Get some flat black paint and be as careful as possible applying the stuff. You can patch up smaller cracks in the hardtop.

and don't let anyone else drive your JK....

It's not that I don't have the "Jeep mentality".

It's that I don't have the wealthy parents that can get me anything I want.

Quite the contrary Jeep702. I believe the posts you perceived as offensive were in fact complimentary. When I was 16, I was piecing together a '76 CJ5. I think it is great you've got the JK now! Certainly no offense intended. "Jeep mentality,?" C'mon, now, we are all on this forum with the same Jeep mentality to learn, share, have fun, & educate.

Slow down there chief.

I have a feeling he doesn't know how good he has it. I am trying to be a little offensive

Glad you weren't hurt too badly in the accident, and I hope you heal quickly.

There is also a product called "Bondo-Glass" that should work. There are write-ups and videos on the Internet that can help you with the repair process.

Here you go, get yourself a fiberglass repair kit, and a disk sander.

If you follow through the thread i also fixed Badpunkin's hardtop.

Sand the crack down, clean it, fiberglass it, sand it, fiber glass it again, sand it, and then clean it and bedline it. Never know it happened.

And don't feel bad, i had a JK at 16. I just turned 20 and still have it, modded it alot and work on it alot. Don't let 'em get to ya. It could be you helpin them out on the trail someday.
