Default Has anyone ever called Jeep for a technical question?

I am thinking about giving jeep a call directly to find out what the diameter of a bolt hole should be on the axle end trackbar bracket. I am pretty certain that my local dealer would have no idea and the only other place I can think of to get that diameter is directly from the design drawing for that bracket.

Do you think anyone at Jeep help me with this?

Before calling Chrysler CS and trying to get through to the technical department where drawings might be able to be accessed, try calling your local dealership's parts department. They have books that contain illistrated parts breakdown and sometimes show measurments.

I have tried calling CS for technical questions several times. Each time, they have said they don't have access to the engineering/technical information, and referred me to the local dealer, which has always ended with no information gained.

As for the hole in question, it should be a close fit for the bolt.
If I were having the holes wallow out, I would weld on a couple of thicker doublers and ream them to be a close fit for the bolt. The result would be twice the contact area on the bolt. You would have to get a longer bolt.
