PS - This ain't professional advice. It's my opinion and the way I did it. It worked for me.
K thanks so you had a Jack stand on either side frame as my poorly drawn picture illustrates? (hand drawn pic)

So I can put Jack stands under the axle too while I change out the tires(one at a time of course)? Is there a better area?? Can I use JACK STANDS on the side frame too as per my poor picture illustrates? Pics to follow.... Thx again
For just changing/rotating tires I just use the stock jack under the axle, one wheel at a time. When doing more (changing springs) I too used stands under the frame and the stock jack to raise and lower the axle. These scissor jacks are pretty stable for just changing tires.

Ok do in the illustration above from the jeep manual for the front I put the scissor Jack under what appears to be something coming down onto the axle?
I guess using Jack stands is a good back up safety thing? Or did I just waste $65 ?
Thx

If you place jackstands under frame rails behind LCA, use stock jack to jack up axle, take off tire, and lower the axle. Repeat on both sides, and the jeep will lower down onto jack stands.. Think of it as a push-up, what happens if you didn't have your arms to support you? You would fall on your face right? Now, if you place a medicine ball under your chest, you can lower your body down to rest on ball... It's the same concept.. So, to answer your question, you did not waste $65. Your just not paying attention to anything people are posting to remedy your problem!

At the risk of being an insensitive @#&^! I would suggest just taking it down to the tire store and having someone else do it. It sounds like you are very unsure of yourself doing it and if running a jack/jack stands has got you this confused i would just keep your jeep and more importantly yourself safe and let someone else change them for you.

Man... I know people need to learn how to work on stuff, but if you're having difficulty with simply lifting your Jeep with a hydralic jack and placing jack stands under it, I highly recommend you have this done by someone that's done it before. Maybe they can show you so you don't seriously hurt yourself.

I don't intend to be mean about this, you have an owner's manual and a drawing someone provided here. What would you do if you were stuck somewhere with a blown tire?

I hope you get this figured out without winding up in the hospital.

Good luck.

Don't overthink it dude. Jack up your jeep, put a jackstand under something solid so it won't fall down accidentally. That's it. Do one corner at a time and you'll be fine.

Lol I have thick skin.... I'm just one of those people that ask 100 questions 1st.
I'm pretty sure I can do it...
As Dora the explorer would say
"you can do it" Lol
