I'm motioning for Jeep to install a "MUST WAVE" warning sticker on the steering wheel for customer pickup. It should be similar to the AIRBAG warning labels, just put them were somebody may actually read them.
maybe add a little steering wheel "shock" to encourage things

Default .....wave

I just had what I would call a wanna-be in his YJ give me a hard time at the pumps the other day. Number one that I had a 4 door Wrangler (no "real" mods or scratches, but it has 235 miles in three months)., and number 2 was the infamous wave. I guess he thought because I had 4 doors to his peasantly 2 (lol) that I was above that!

I have owned a CJ/Wrangler as long as any other vehicle. There was a time when they were primary vehicles and times when they were extras. This is the first new one I have had, and at this point I have to say I am embarassed. I work at a CJD dealership and the "wave" talk has turned into a punch line. Many have said I would only wave to another JK (not that they know what a JK is). In my office is now a Jeep wave policy. I mention the voiding of warranty etc and get more than a few extra questions about where the wave comes from. For that, I have no idea....anyone?

As for the young YJ-er in his "real" Jeep, you know, shiny red with tons of chrome, I had to take him by my barn. I have a decent, and hopefully growing collection in various states of restoration.

As for my JK, she will need to be a street queen until I can find the excuse to transform it into the machine I know she can be. And for that matter make my mind up on what she needs to be! This is by far my favorite Jeep yet, but all my other models still hold a nice place in my heart.

Here in South Africa they are just starting to get the JK's and the Unlimiteds are very rare. I've seen 3 or 4 on the road. The dealership says as soon as one is delivered its sold before they can put in on the show room floor.

I got lucky and found one and test drove it (steering wheel on the right hand side of course) and fell in love with it. My Red Rock Unlimited is waiting for me at the dealer when I get home on Jan 1st, I am so excited I am waving already.......from my Corolla.

You have to take off the rear bumper to get rid of it, but the front comes off nice. Even if it took 4 hours it was worth it to me to remove!

Don't blame the "soccer moms", they been trained not to use their hands.
Watch for a small "head bunt" instead of a wave.

They are very popular now!

But nobody waves, except for TJ's and YJ's and CJ's.
Soccer mom's in jeeps.......Don't get much better than that!!!

No one ever confused me with a soccer mom.

I've seen some modded jeeps go by without a wave so don't be blaming the JKs only.

And for the record as soon as I get a moment I'm taking off the fugly silver bumper overlays.
