Default How about this one

So, the Jeep has been in the shop for exactly one week today due to the slave cylinder leaking. They call me today to tell me that the clutch disc and pressure plate look like fluid got on it but it is only covered for 12k (I have 28K) I told him, well, seeing that the cylinder exploded all over the clutch that caused the plate to deteriorate. They tell me that they have to call Chrysler to see if it is covered. What kinda crap is that? The slave leaks fluid all over then the clutch which worked fine, before the slave started spewing fluid all over it, doesn't work now and it's not going to be covered? The reply was "well sir I have to call chrysler to see if they are going to cover it." I can get back to you this afternoon. What a Crock. After 20 years of owning Chrysler products I am done after this if this isn't covered.

Can't believe they wouldn't cover that. It' simple cause and effect! Hopefully Chrysler understands that supporting existing owners is critical to their survival!

One would think but after they first told me it "ONLY" cost 1200 to fix the clutch we will wait until this afternoon and see what happens.

They just called and said so sorry, you have to replace it. Pay us or tow it out of here because it still doesn't drive.

Tell them your lawyer will be calling them to make arrangments for the vehicle. If the slave cylinder failed (and was under warranty) and that failure directly caused another part to fail they have to cover it. If you want to take the hard road you can win that one. I am not trying to be a shithouse lawyer, but I have experience in that situation a few years ago. Get a lawyer.

Man that's rough. That dealer and Chrysler suck. I have noticed a significant change in the direction of denying clear warranty repairs since the demise of the "old" Chrysler. You are not the only one.

The problem you have is clearly documented in numerous vehicles with the same flawed part and should be taken care of without caution.

I'm done for a while also. I typically buy a new Jeep every 2 years. It will be at least 10 before I get over the crap I've been through with the JKs I've had.

The problem with that is simple, after paying the lawyer I will be out the same amount of money. Lawyers aren't cheap.

I called Chrysler directly and they are working on the case, allegedly. We shall see what happens.

You can also try the better business bureau and then your state's attorney general. ( I am assuming you don't have a huge lift which would certainly strain the part in question ). Review your warranty carefully and see if this should be covered. Sometimes chained events are not.

Don't expect much out of the BBB AG or Chrysler, really. They are probably just going to say it is a normal operating condition for their parts to fall apart. and thus acceptable to deny a warranty claim.
