I disagree, nothing wiser than a credit card if you know how to use it.. I put everything on the card for the miles, and then pay it off at the end of the month.. If I don't have the money to pay it at the end of the month I just don't buy it.. End result? About 10 free airline trips in the last 2 years just with accumulated miles.. I don't see anything unwise about that..

Credit card, pay balance monthly and get the points. I put my wheels, tires, lift and other stuff on my card. I use my card for everything. I have $500 in gas cards from the points.

Nothing wrong with credit cards. Use common sense with it and you won't go into debt. Don't have 5 credit cards and ya won't be in debt. I use my credit card for jeep parts. I just make sure I have that money in cash before I make the purchase when the bill comes bills payed for.

There is everything wrong with credit cards and financial institutions, they are one of the greatest scams that have been pulled on the public...but hey, you either get it or you don't...keep thinking your finance charges and monthly/yearly fees are saving you money...you can lead a horse to water.....

You seem to keep missing them saying they pay their entire balance monthly. No finance charges, while reaping member benefits and points. This is exactly what I do- everything but my mortgage is put on AmEx and paid every month in full. I don't buy what I can't afford.

All cash, made a deal with the wife that I get all overtime pay for the jeep. So if I'm getting payed time and a half, I get the half. Works good since I put on average 110hrs away every two weeks and get payed real well to be a Driller.

Spoken like someone who doesn't know how to pick or use a credit card properly.

My card has no monthly/yearly fees and pays me cash to use it (how to pick them) and I pay my entire bill off every month so there is no finance charge (how to use them). Last year they gave me more than $600 (in cash not points) just because I used the card. That’s a nice chunk of change just to use the card.

I agree that if you have a card that has fees and/or you don’t pay off your entire balance every month then a credit card is not the way to go.

Whatever makes you feel better about not having the means to buy the things you want ;-)

Yes we agree that fees are bad, you are making progress!
