Default How to get a Build Sheet

Is it possible to get a build sheet for a JK that you don't own?

I've started looking at some newer options (110k now) but I'm not interested in a pre-2012 with gears other than 3.73 or 4.10. It seems that the used car lots don't know the answer and I'd prefer not to give them my number if at all possible. Most of the list the VIN online.

2011 Rubicon unless you can afford new then there are some really good deals on the 2012 Rubicons that will only get better.

If you are looking for the 2011's then the Rubicon will have 4.10's etc. and the easiest way to get the 3.73 in any other model is the max tow package.

I couldn't tell ya for sure but as long as you have the vin I don't see why not. http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universal/J/index.jsp. I think mine took a day or two at the most.

Is there a better link for that? I get an error when I open that page.

The link wouldn't work right on the page so I had to go back 2 pages. http://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/jeep/index.jsp Then click on customer assistance, then send us an email.

Rubi is out of my price range still but I've been looking for the towing package. Is there any obvious difference to differentiate the max tow verse just tow package?

Not that I know of. The main thing I wanted with the Max Tow Package was the anti-sway programmed into the traction control system. Other than that I think the tow package only means it has a hitch and light wiring.

The way I understand the 2011's there were 3 gear packages. 3.21 for manual, 3.73 for automatic, 4.10 for rubicon, regardless of any towing package options. My build sheet says Max Tow Package and 3.73 gears w/ auto.

Maybe try this. I just went to jeep.com, then contact us, customer service, then send us an email. On the email form / page at the bottom there's a box for reason for assistance, that's where you write " requesting a build sheet ".
