I agree. They look like a homebrewed solution. The door pillar looks really out of place with all the soft top material it. To me they make more sense as an addition to the full door. (sans window portion).

Living in the great state of Arizona there are few times when I will have to worry about snow...thankfully, I get cold if it is any cooler than 80. I also want to ride with the top down most of the time. Even though the framing is a little odd, I thought going with half-doors would be better than riding with the top off the full-door version. Either way I love the jeep and think of little else!
Thanks for all of the pictures!
Have any of you invested in a bikini top for your jeeps? Seeing as how I do live in AZ, I will need to protect my skin from frying during the summer months...just not sure if I should just douse myself in spf 70 or get a bikini top?

If I had to do it again - I would! Never regretted getting the half metal doors!

I love my half doors. They are perfect when the top is down! And lets face it...whos buying a Jeep for its re-sale value....show of hands please.
On a side note I would like to find some full doors and a hard top before winter...I live in Southern Texas so 60 is balls cold to me!

I like em and I dislike them. They are big enough that if you want to take the top down and the windows off mid trip, you cant have anything else with you, it all takes up the space through out the back. Also the door frames would be nice to take off mid trip too (where it looks its best), but there really isnt enough room to do it. And like everybody else say the windows scratch easily.
But I got them because I didnt want to have to take the doors off to feel open, and that alone makes it worth it. Usually if Im coming home from work and its not a friday, Ill just take the front doors/rear window off and go sunrider mode.
