I have personally worked on Chrysler minivans with 300,000 on them. Any vehicle maintained PROPERLY, and driven CORRECTLY will generally give excellent service. This engine is actually an EXCELLENT engine, no ball of fire but adequate. Remember the JK weighs 2 TONS+. It won't do wheelstands regardless of the motor put in it....LOL Keep the oil changed on a frequent schedule, fluids and brakes watched, watch out for the other guy, and with a bit of luck your JK will outlast your interest in it...

if properly maintained you can get 500k out of a neon motor. most people think cars like that are junk because they're always brakingdown.but its beacause most people owning these types of cars never maintain anything.

I had a VW Rabbit diesel 1984. I drove 430000 km. The engine was still in good condition, but the body was too dangerous.

I can't see why you couldn't get easily 300K miles (480K km's) with good maintenance.

I've seen afew HEEPs with +300k but they had inline 6's. I guess we will see?!?!?

I have 60,000 on mine right now and unless I find a way to get a 6.1 HEMI, i gonna shoot for 1,000,000mi. who knows? its possible

I had 18K on my first one and it tore up. Now I've got over 6K on my new one. Waitin on the other shoe to fall.
