i just drove it home drome the dealer yesterday at it sounded like shit. the dealer was convinced its an internal problem. like you guys said about the insurance im trying to wash the jeep by hand to make it look like an accident. if the insurance does not go through idk what todo. ive been looking around and i found that the install kit is 5k the the motor is 10-30k and its 1-2k to get it insalled. theres to way i can afford to pay 15-40k for a motor. thats not an option

Really though, sorry to hear about your Jeep. Hope the insurance thing works out!

I have seen several engines on Craigslist and some local 4x4 sites and clubs.
Or maybe a tree can fall on it tonight; you know how the wind can be this time of year. Jk. Hoping for the best!

Ronjenx's suggestions are correct. A normal result of hydolocked engines is a bent rod which doesn't result in an operational clicking or ticking noise. A cracked exhaust manifold sounds more likely. Do be truthful with your insurance company. Unless you have an exclusion declaration on your policy for off-roading then water damage should be included in your comprehensive coverage. Get a second opinion! Your first one does not sound correct!

I think that company could be MoTech...there's a couple of videos on YouTube...

Because of you get water in the motor, and then the piston head tries to compress it.. It's not going to happen. Because water doesn't compress..
