I hadn't really ever thought about it in this way until reading that article, but Wranglers, as iconic and unique vehicles, definitely meet much of the same criteria that luxury cars fulfill - just in different ways.

I agree. I see more new wranglers in gated neighborhoods/country clubs than the nearby apartment complexes. The wrangler (with almost a $30k price tag for the basic unlimited) isn't much cheaper than entry level bmws, mercedes, etc

My wife and I combined actually make more than that BUT and a big BUT it is I haven't worked a full year since 2008 so we are scrapping by like everybody else when I was working I did a fair job of saving but its been a couple years so savings is gone...and I got the mod sickness BAD she would kill me if I used the credit card...WTF
