Default I have a question.

What is the difference between the front coil springs on a stock x and a stock rubicon? The reason I am asking is I have a 2008 stock x and when I hit the brakes to come to a stop the front end nose dives and I am wondering if the rubicons do this as well or do they have stiffer spring rates. I am considering putting the pucks up front to correct some of the rake but i may need to find some rubicon springs and swap them out. What do ya'll think??

unless I slam on my brakes, my 08 Sahara 4 door does not dive.

how hard do you stop?

I have an 08 Rubicon. I have not noticed a front end dive while normal braking. The front end does sit a little lower though. Being new to jeeps I cannot tell you if the springs are HD or not or any diffrent on stock X. Sorry

there are 22 different spring rates that Jeep uses, depending on 4dr, 2dr, hard top, soft top etc....

sounds like you just need to get a lift lol

Ive got an 07 X and before my lift the front would dive quite abit with just normal braking... made for a smooth ride though lol. Anyway, i second the lift! Fixed the problem

I would put my money on the difference being the shock absorbers and not the springs.

The only difference is the Rubicon springs are stiffer than that of the Sahara or X.

Thanks guys for the replies. I really don't want to get a lift right now. I did that with my tj with bigger tires but it killed my mileage with the stock gears. I'm getting close to 20 mpg average right now and I don't want to mess that up. Any idea how much rubicon springs would run? This is for a 2 door by the way.

I haven't noticed anything with my X. But then again, i got 32" tires. And i think 32s come with rubi suspension.

Keep a look out in the For Sale section. People are always selling Rubicon parts as they do a lift or other mods. You can usually pic up a set of springs at a decent price, though if you need them shipped, it will probably cost quite a bit.
