There's a company out there, Advanced Adapters (I think), that sells a replacement cable assembly for the same phenomena with the T-Case. I haven't looked, but perhaps there's an after-marked cable for this issue.

I had a machine shop make a new arm with a larger stud coming out with a new bushing and d=clip. It works like a charm and no more stupid plastic clip. Cost me 40 bucks.

So.... I finally got my Jeep back today.
Dealership had to replace the entire shifter assembly not just a broken clip. I inquired about getting the replacement part as a spare - service guy said it's WAY more involved than popping a couple clips off and repairing. I think they had the entire console apart.
In the meanwhile, the parts group is going to get me some of the transfercase shifter clips as a PM.
