i think...
assumptions kill dont they?
nah, my dad would pay me to trade the jeep for a car...
the mileage is one thing...i like fast tho...the rs is extremely quick...and an awd model of it would make little to no sense...more of a touring spec car than the evo or subaru...(rally inspired)

A fantastic rally car that replaced the escort.

Used to drive a 89 Lancia delta integrale 16v 260whp 2700lb wet weight with half tank of gas. Had a 2001 WRX white with mild tuning got low 20s mpg and worse running road courses. traded it in for a 2004WRX STi world rally blue, $1,000 deposit 8 month waiting list, moderately modified.

i drove um both...the evo, i dont like. the subaru is what ill end up with, merely because i doubt that the rs will come to the states in time. why must america always be behind..
hell my scooby got worse gas mileage then my jeep unless i was running an economy tune.
you sound like a young guy, you want the scoob for speed and thats all. i will also put a 20$ bill down on the fact that you will never AVERAGE anywhere near 30mpg, it will be closer to the low 20's. dont kid yourself either, we all know you will be flogging it every chance you get. then once you start upgrading it, it gets even worse.

pushing 300whp and tq when this photo was taken

If it wasn't for the mustang it would be here. Look at that tuned up neon that dodge came out with then that tuned chevy colbolt ss. they don't want to lose the mustang sales.
The STi is 17/23
If you are worried about gas mileage, dont get the WRX. Hell, those numbers are not too far off from the JK, and you have a lot of wrench time into the JK. I say, assuming you dont have a payment with the JK and wont have a payment with the new car, keep the JK. Once you are done with OCS, you will probably be deployed anyhow, so you will not be able to enjoy either for a while anyhow....A JEEP is more ARMY than a car anytime!!
