I personally certainly wouldn't pull you over for having black wheels. Now, if you have mods that violate the inspection code, then I'll stop you for it.

For what reasons are you getting pulled over? (or what reason are you being told) You almost certainly have to be doing something wrong. There is a such thing as probable cause. I know I don't pull somebody over for obeying the law. That's a waste of time and shoots your credibility down the crapper. Very curious to see where this goes and hope it doesn't turn in to a cop bashing thread.

Now if you had chrome ones.....:?:

so i have black wheels, and ever since putting them on i have been getting more heat from local 5 0, pulled over the other day for no reason, got no ticket, and just got a call from my gf who was getting gas and the local gas station owner was like, your boyfriend drives that white rubicon right? the cops are gunning for him here he better slow down, now everyone that ownes a jeep on here with 33's knows that they arent that fast, and i know i havent been zipping around town either, so id imagin that because i have a modded jeep that looks different the cops are singling me out, they should all quit eating donuts on tax payer time and start doing real police work!

I find stuff like this kinda funny. It does happen and import guys usually get a LOT of flack from the cops.

From when I was 17-19 I daily drove this in Vegas. For a period of 3-4months or so I ran with NO exhaust. Pulled over once for a warning.

I know he was specifically following me. After I passed, he pulled out off the side of the road, and was weaving through traffic behind me. There was a car between him and I he couldn't get around, so he turned his lights on to get that car to move, then turned them off to get up to me. Once he got up to me, and paced just behind me in the left lane (I was in the right lane). He made a radio call while looking at my plate, and then moved over behind me, and continued to follow me for the next 10 miles in the right lane doing the speed limit until he raced around me on a 6% downhill grade, around a blind corner, and stopped there. Once he exited, he moved from the hidden spot. The entire time he was following, I did not exceed the speed limit once, and didn't change lanes at all. We even got passed by a guy speeding that the trooper did not pull over.

To me, that sure seems like he was following me.

Alright, sounds like he was following you :) I've had my rims blacked out for quite a while and the only time I talk to the police is at the "insurance check" roadblocks they love to set up around town on Friday and Saturday nights.
