The 3 piece freedom top was one of the big attractions for me. I like that I can take the two front tops off and stick them in the back (with the seats upright) anytime I want. I don't think a single piece would fit as easily. Just my thoughts......

Default Hated the one piece top
On my TJ.... to heavy to take off by yourself.

Freedom top works great for me!
