Default I'm thinking of trading for a Rubicon...

I have the opportunity to trade my 08 Unlimited X for $20K in for a 09 Rubi for $26K. Because I owe $3.7K more than they are willing to give me on my X ($23.7K) I will have to finance the Rubi for $29.7K. Is that a good deal? It's a basic Rubi. No dual top (comes with hard top), no gps, no winch, no lift and a manual (i want a manual). Any thoughts?

You would be better served taking the 9.7K and building up your X.

I bought a 6 speed JKU Sahara with dual tops, tow group and Uconnect GPS for $26k two months ago .... sticker was $31.5k ... seems like $26k for a Rubi is a great deal

Well I get the Power Train Warranty going for the 09 also the front dana 44 and better gears are nice with the rock trac. I have nothing done to my car at all and I have been told that if I want 35's I'll need new gears anyways, I like the power option and I also currently have an automatic but I want the manual.

If I put 9k into my car would it be up to par with the Rubi that had a lift and new wheels?

Two kittens in one post. C'mon, man, be gentle.

Seriously, though, I do it. You've got more than 1 reason that you want to do it. For that price, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

What do you mean by two kittens in one post?

I had the same thought, I decided to keep my X and drop $4k into it, now I have a nicer rig (IMO) than the Rubi, with another 5k to play with.
