I have the RRC ones and they do everything that I need them for. Granted I do not wheel as hard as a lot of these guys, but I did bang off a few smaller rocks and stumps and did not have any damage. The finish has held up well (I have had these on longer than most on here) but I also do not have to deal with the salt and other corosive elements that they do up north and around the shores. no rust issues with these or my bumpers
All in All it comes down to what you need and/or want. I have seen guys that spent $1500 on a bumper, and will never see a dirt driveway, let alone go offroad. Others have built things out of scrap and bang them hard every weekend.

My only complaint on them is that they don't have a bar for additional protection and to allow my wife/kid to step up. However, Woods is talking about offering a weld-on kit and I'd consider it as a nice upgrade. Now I just need to butter up my brother-in-law to use his welder.

Of course, I really like the look of the pure jeep setup... I wonder if I could convince my wife that it improves the safety of the jeep after it got poor side-impact ratings.
I am glad your getting good use out of your rails i sold you! I have, Yet to take the jeep out on the trail since i made all these upgrades!

We will have to go to SMORR soon. LOL

NSS.

I just think its funny how many people bitch and complain about small things here..especially in the stock section (granted this isnt in the stock section) but come on.. there are probably close to 20 threads there dealing with things like (my door pillar squeeks).... good god!

now, I can understand if people are talking about rusting from the inside out--plenty understandable to be upset with that.

i think it's funny how many people take the time to read all the bitching and complaing and then bitch and complain about it

on a serious note, i understand what you are saying but the OP was asking about this product being "inexpensive or cheap" and a finish that starts to fall apart or allows rust to develop without any external influences such as rock impacts or otherwise is in my opinion "cheap". but hey, that's just me and i was just trying to answer the question by sharing what i have seen.
