Default Ipass

If you guys have an iPass where do you guys place them on your windshields. Has anyone encountered any difficulties with their IPASS? Or any other information I should know. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have an ezPass here on the east coast. It's compatible with your ipass in Chicagoland. I've had no problems with it.

I got the license plate ipass. Traded in my windshield mounted one. I figured someone would at least need a screwdriver to steal it.

thanks for the replies.

Travelar, do you have it mounted on your windshield? If so, where is it placed?

As for Bodybrdng and Jonrdt, did it cost extra for a license plate iPass? How did you go about getting one? Any reason you got the licenst plate version as opposed to the regular windshield mounted one?

Thanks again for any information you can shoot back at me,
Neil

Here in Texas we have EZTags. I velcro-ed mine to the back of my rear-view mirror. It seems to work just fine.

My TJ had the Ezpass inside tag Velcroed to the windshield and it worked fine. My new JK it won't register. Looks like I'm going to need the external one too.

It's an electronic toll system. A little plastic device you mount inside on your windshield or outside the car that allows you to go through specially marked toll booths without stopping. It also gives you a discount on the toll itself.

Electronic transmitter for toll roads. I have an external on my front license plate, reads with no issues.

However, if it gets even a small crack in it (from rocks on the road), it goes bad and you have to pay to have it replaced.
