My EZ-Pass is located on the bottom f the windshield withquite a bit of flatness to it! When I had it at the top it kept not registering! when I laid on teh dash at the base of the windshield no problems, so I do that!

Default I pass

I have a 2008 JK & I noticed that when I used it mounted inside at the top of the windshield it wouldn't register. I ended up setting it in the lower corner of the windshield, on the drivers side. It seemed to work fine then. That was on I-90, Schaumberg to the WI state line.

Mine is just under the rear view mirror to the drivers side, when looking through the front window I can't see it and it works fine.

On the way up to the poconos it wouldn't register in the middle at the bottom of the windshield but it would in front of the driver side at the hazelton exit. I'd rather get the external one so I don't have to monkey around with it.

Mine is about 1.5 " below the top of the windshield, behind the mirror. As far as I know, it's working OK. I haven't got any letter from TXDOT yet.

the only thing that worries me with the external one is some idiot not knowing how to park and slamming into it while parking.

Had a license plate one a few years back and tried to go over the Throgs Neck Bridge. Didn't register. Jerk comes out and says "pay up!" Wouldn't let me pass until I did even though I had it there. Turns out I had a hairline crack (probably from somebody in a parking lot) and some water must ahve gotten in. I changed to a windshield model the next day.

My OK pikepass is located just above and to the right of my rearview mirror. Works great there.

Mine is located at the bottom of the windshield on the passenger side behind the tweeter. Much less noticable there and works great. I did have it up behind the mirror, but it stuck out like a sore thumb when looking at the Jeep from the front.

Also a tip...my toll tag was white and I have a black JK. I took a black permanent marker and colored the tag black. Now it blends in much better with the Jeep and is less noticeable.
