Bigger is always better especially if you ever consider putting bigger tires, a leveling kit or a lift. I would avoid the 2.5 ton jack I know its cheaper but not worth it having your Jk come crashing down on you, that goes double for floor stands too bigger is better. The 3ton would be marginal, personally I would save up a little more money and get a 4 ton hydraulic jack and floor stands to match.

I've had a few troubles with my 2.5ton Craftsman "SUV" floor jack. It's the black and yellow one. It mostly works but leaks, the handle bent during first use, and the darn wheels keep falling off. It won't hold a vehicle long, but usually long enough to get some stands underneath.

I'll eventually get something bigger and better.
