Out of fun and curiosity, ok...maybe just curiosity, Who waited and saved for their upgrades and who used Credit!

I know I am in the minority here, but I don't buy anything I can't afford to pay for right now.

i paid for half my jeep with cash and then financed the rest at a low interest with chrysler
i pay cash for all my jeep stuff 95% of the time

I have been paying cash...damn its tough staying away from those high limits airline miles credit cards that I have!

I'm trying to pay cash only. Thus I have very limited mods currently.

I do both. I don't buy anything unless I have the cash to pay for it. BUT I use a CC for everything so I can rack up the rewards points. Then when I get home from whatever purchase I pay it off right away. So each month I always have no balance but I still get a bunch of points.

That's the ONLY smart way to do it! No need to pay it off as soon as you get home, though. That's what grace periods are for, but buy only what you can pay off w/o paying interest, but use a card where you'll get cash back or some good rewards.

It's not worth it to pay a bunch of money down on a vehicle. Unless you're getting absolutely RAPED with your interest rate, you're better off investing the money and just paying the payments out for 60 months or so.
