Jeep® Wrangler Islander is a sell out

The Jeep® brand has created another hit model even before it has rolled off the line and made it to the streets.
The Wrangler Islander edition, (which is making a return to the Jeep lineup after a 20-year hiatus), sold out in less than a month. The vehicle, which was first revealed to dealers in late December and then shown to the public at the opening of the Detroit auto show on Jan. 7, has orders for its entire planned production and then some.
Dealer orders already exceed the original planned production for the limited-edition vehicle for this year. Many of those orders came from international dealers, confirming confirmed the global appeal of the model.
“The dealers have always appreciated the legendary capability of the Wrangler and now have the chance to get reacquainted with the emotional appeal of the brand and the versatility of the nameplate,” Stephane Cloutier, Brand Manager—Jeep Wrangler, said. “The unique interior appointments, attractive exterior graphics featuring the ‘Jeep Tiki’ logo, are complemented by the Wrangler Rubicon Wheel and tire package. These components work harmoniously to create a fun version of the Jeep Wrangler, while maintaining all of its best-in-class capability.”
The limited-edition Islander is available on Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited 4×4 models. Based on the Wrangler Sport model, the Islander features blackside steps and popular Moab 17-inch wheels shod with 32-inch tires.
“Past special models have typically featured great content at attractive prices,” Cloutier said. “The Islander clearly embodies the fun elements of the brand. The vehicle has a differentiated look from what has been done in past years, and it symbolizes ‘coastal living,’ beaches, sand, water sports and fun. Moreover, it serves an example of what we can do with the Wrangler.”
The Islander comes in Surf Blue Pearl Coat, Stone White Clear Coat, Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat and Brilliant Black Crystal Clear Coat. Other exterior features include an Islander “Jeep Tiki” character logo decal on the hood with latitude and longitude coordinates that represent an actual location relating to the “Islander” theme of the vehicle.
Inside, the Islander’s seats are Dark Gray with Surf Blue inserts, blue stitching and an embroidered Islander “Jeep Tiki” logo adorning the seat back. Blue stitching also has been added to the leather-wrapped steering wheel, with Mopar® rubber floor mats completing the beach theme.
The Jeep Wrangler Islander option package is available at a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,120. The Wrangler Islander model will be available in showrooms later in the first quarter.
“We knew it would be successful, just not this quickly,” Cloutier said.
Production at the Toledo (Ohio) Supplier Park plant is scheduled to begin Feb. 8.

Okay, so what version is it that I have if it's not the "fun version"? Do I need a bunch of stickers to have "fun"? Heck, I thought it was rather fun when I pulled many of the stickers that my JK came with (especially that silly J E E P on the grill!).
