Jeep Islander is a sell out!
When anything is labeled "Limited" people think it will be valued in the future....but the opposite is true. Its the things they don't hype up as limited that really gain value in the future. People see the word limited and thats there excuse for buying something extremely ugly (It'll be worth something down the line)..If you think a couple of coordinates and cheesy stickers makes this a "Limited" then this jeep is marketed for you!
I am a fan of all Wranglers but this seems like Jeep is making a direct marketing ploy for women and I cannot see any man wanting to drive one of these. To each his/her own but that thing is damn ugly

sad to see so much hatred in this forum. it seems like everyone is hating on just about everything.. whether it be saharas, 2wd, non rubi, lifts, auto trans, we could go on all day. bottom line is everyone here is proud of their jeep..we should all just be supportive of each other and quit the negative feedbacks. we are losing many members from our criticisms.
There are opinions on this forum for just about everything. Some can articulate without offending. Others aren't so tactful. That's OK - one definition of a "Forum" is: "Place to express yourself; a medium in which the public may debate an issue or express opinions". I will continue to express mine and hope that everyone understands there is zero "hate" involved - just a different opinion.
And are we really losing many members? Any data? Just now I checked and there are 350 members online and 33,035 total members. Wow!

I agree. And have you even been to some of the other forums? Not naming forum names, but this is the only JK forum I've seen where people aren't D*cks!!! Seriously spend a week on another forum and tell them your setup and get ready for them to go to town on you.

The different models and "limited" editions are fine... just don't be duped into paying too much. Throughout the history of jeeps there have been odd ball editions... it's what makes it eclectic and unique... it's a jeep thing... we all don't have the same looking Lexus SUV or whatever.

I'm not crazy about the Islander motif, even if it has appeared in the past. But like someone else said, it is bringing others into the "family" and that is alright by me.
It is a Jeep thing, right?? :-)

Aww c'mon guys its a jeep regardless of the fact that people are paying extra for stickers. Im sure people knocked the levi's edition of the CJ's too but now they are pretty rare. If it means they are selling more jeeps then we have to be happy. The more demand the more likely they are to offer more usefull options like a real engine. I mean the Islander is not my cup of tea but.......... Its a JK.

...I almost forgot about that one.
