Its for blackout lights, when your driving a convoy at night with NVGs you dont turn on your headlights you roll with blackout lights... they put out just enough light to assist your NVGs, keeps you undetectable from enemies

huh? i don't have a chip on my shoulder. this vehicle is, stylistically speaking (the body), just an unlimited without the rear doors. if you want to see what the J8 would like like as a 4door, go look at an unlimited. don't bother telling me the J8 isn't an unlimited because of the frame, rear D60, rear leaf springs, diesel etc etc etc, I know that. but the J8 tub exterior is hardly anything more than an unlimited tub with the rear doors missing. sheesh
