Default Jeep JK Recall?????

I am really concerned that there might be a recall right now on Jk's for a faulty transmission seal that is bad. Ive yet to find anything online regarding a seal. But the reason Im so worried is my friends Jk caught on fire the other week. and Its completely totalled. Im worried about it and will be taking by the dealership, But thought Id ask the real experts on this website first...haha. ill post some pics of Her Jk a little later...

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Oh just adding to the one I submitted before...

That the seal was leaking, therefore spraying tranny oil on the exhaust manifold and exhaust. Thus igniting.

That's too bad, what year JK?

Did dealer perform a service notice? chances are the dealer failed to do one of the following:

a. put the seal on correctly

b. failed to properly tighten the flow lines

If there truely was an issue, there would be many fires not just fires after the dealer performed service.

Every fire I've read about or heard of, was after service was performed.

unless it's announced as a full recall not a service bulletin, I just watch for the issues before actually taking it in for the service.

As I understand it, there was a potential issue with some 2008-2009 trans cooler lines weeping at the crimp joint.

read carefully - may weep transmission fluid at the hose-to-tube crimp joints.

Hope the dealership take responsibility - I've heard many try to get out of assuming liability....

Nah she wasn't there. She had so many mods. I was asking her where she was so I could take my tools to strip the jeep down. I wanted her hardtop!! Lol.
