Jeep Shopping Advice?
O I'm in the market for a reasonably new JK Wrangler. I've been looking around, and am kind of torn. I Really like the new Arctic model Wranglers. The look great to me, and I like the features that they offer, but I'm curious as to whether or not it's worth it, or should I just buy a Rubicon instead. Any input would help out immensely.
I've had a sport and now a rubi. The rubi is 100% better!! Stock it can do some serious off roading. With a 2" budget boost you can roll with 35's. I cut my stock fenders for more clearance. Hopefully soon we cutting the pinch seems for some 37's. If you gonna build one, a sport is the way to go. And by build I mean axles and up.
Do some more research on the two types of jeep you are looking at. I know nothing about the arctic, except what I have read on this forum.
It is supposed to be very similar to the rubicon, with some very distinct body styling options.
I may be wrong, so please don't flame on me.
At the end of the day, get what you can afford, and what will suit your lifestyle.

I kind of figured the Arctic was a loaded up Sahara haha. Still, it looks nice, and has some cool add ons.
Juice,
To answer your question, I'm going to be using it as a daily driver, with some trail use on the weekends. I'm not going to to go all out, and turn it into a trail truck, but I am going to add a few things to whatever I get. My main reason for wanting to get one is aside from the fact that it's a Jeep, and everyone should have one haha, I have a crew cab Chevy Silverado, and with my new job I've been doing a lot more driving in the city. I like my truck, but it's got a massive wheel base, and it's not the easiest thing to get around and parked sometimes haha. But my folks and a bunch of my friends back home still live out in the boonies, so we can go trailing anytime. This is just one of a number of reasons I want another Jeep (my last one met its end too early. It's a long story).
Riptide,
I haven't driven one, but I definitely want one with the new engine. I love the fact Jeep is going back and revamping the 3.6 engine, those things are bullet proof in my book. As I said above, I'm not going to do any major upgrades for a while after I buy it, because it's more going to be a daily driver with some weekend trail use.
Also, this might be a stupid question, but I haven't looked this up yet. Are all Wranglers from this model year forward fitted with the new engines?

Good Luck!

But costs $4-$5k more.
Good Luck!
