Default Jeep Waves

When I see a fairly new Wrangler coming towards me with NO mods, I wave but don't expect one back. If it IS modded, 99% of the time I get a wave.

I heard that, its a point system. Like since we have JK's we are lower on the Jeep system. Like if we were driving and you are passing a TJ the TJ is not required to wave first you are and so on for all types of Jeeps. Wranglers rank higher than others but if it's a Wrangler to Wrangler systems JK's are the last on the list .

I've seen this on one of these threads before, and stolen it as my own. "I wave at all Jeeps. If the owner waves back, it's just a bonus."

Default New JL?

Been reading your posts on the forum for a long time sir, and received some good advice along the way. I feel like I "know" your Jeep..lol If I remember correctly, you're getting up there in miles! So, the question is..do you feel like the old girl is getting long in the tooth? And if so, is there a new JL on the horizon?

On the topic, I wave to most Jeeps...the two finger variety. I say most because 99% of the time I get no response except from "enthusiasts" Jeeps ie..JKs TJs YJs CJs.

I don't listen to the point system, it's stupid that it even exists. I'll wave regardless and if you choose not to wave that's fine it won't change the way I roll. Long Island is a pretty Wrangler bias area so really only the Wranglers wave here but like I said I wave at everyone regardless.

Man, I never knew there was a points system. I do a variety of different waves, mostly the off the wheel wave. My wife and I refer to the non wavers as rentals and figure they don't know any better lol. Unfortunately sometimes I become a "rental" as I do not daily drive the Jeep and sometimes miss a wave here and there. Funny though, after driving it all weekend I find myself waving at people when I'm in my truck.

I got in trouble when I was at a stop light and he didn't wave back. He heard me mutter under my breath "yuppie". He didn't like that much.

I'm going to admit. More stock JKs don't wave than anything. It almost makes me not want to wave but I do out of respect for the Jeep not the driver.
