Exclamation JK Base price increase

Everyone who has ordered a JK Rubicon (and maybe just any JK) and hasn't received the vehicle has had their price increase of a little over $250.00. This is a base price increase from DC. This increase became effective in Feb.
I ordered on Oct 20 , 2006 and I'm picking up tomorrow and was just told of it.
It seams kinda of cheap to pay a increase just due to being back ordered.

Your dealer should be able to get your Jeep price protected.

WOW....

they can't get them built fast enough for demand......

they can't build them right.....

they can't fix the problems people are having with the ones they do make......

SO THEY RAISE THE PRICE OF THEM........It's a wonder why the US Automakers are in the toilet.

The dealer told me about it. They found the price increase in the final review of the paperwork. the dealer stated they have no control and can't do anything. It's all DC.
These JK's are so hot right now, if you put up a fight they'll say deals off and put it on the sales floor. It will be gone in a day if that.
I've waited since October and at this point I'll just pay and take it home.

See first line of your own post.

They can't keep up with demand. That means raise the price. All other points are moot.

US automakers are NOT in the toilet from people trying to buy cars faster than they can be built.

This exactly the oposite problem many American models are suffering from.

The only reason demand is high is because of DC inability to build a quality product from the start. If they didn't have so many issues with there manufacturing there would be 25 of each model JK sitting on every dealers lot right now.

It's not like it's a limited production vehicle like Toyotas FJ that is somewhat limited.

Can we get a price increase protection, I ordered in December, and have the 4EA (sold vehicle) on the line item.

If so, what paperwork does the dealer fill out?

thanks in advance.

Other posts have said differently, might want to shoot Don-A-Vee a PM to ask for certain, but there was posts about IF the vehicle was ordered prior to the price increase that it would be price protected, and that the dealer could get it corrected if it showed up otherwise.

you are not the only one with a price increase at pick up time
I actually know one friend that picked up his JK rubi and was told he had to fork over some more cash..... at this point, instead of fighting it, he just gave them the $$ - otherwise it would have benefited the dealer a lot more.
A JK Rubi on the lot is worth at least 5K more than a pre-ordered vehicle.
