Only two things will significantly impact the 3.8's performance: RIPP Supercharger ($5-7K depending on who does the work) or Hemi swap ($15-25K). Anything else commonly available will be very incremental, at best (this includes cold air intake, reprogramming and new exhaust--or all combined). The CAI and exhaust will make you think you have lots better performance because of the nicer sound, but much of that is more illusion than real.
The cheapest way to get better performance from the Jeep is to regear ($700-1.5K). That affects top end performance (which for most of us isn't an issue--a Jeep not being a race car, that is).

Just bought a 2012 Rubicon unlimited and it's a big difference.... It's not a porsche but its got alot more kick
