I got mine for space, cumfort and over all look. With the seats folded down there is a ton of room, its a better ride even with a 2.5" lift and with said lift and 33's it looks great.

My plus list:
Can sleep in the JKU
Can carry everything two of us need for comfortable camping
Can take friends along and show them the wonders of 4wding
Better climbing
Nicer at high speed on road
Tows a trailer better
Looks better to my eye
Downside
Turn radius sucks

Where does one begin? Let's see....
It tows more
It holds my family and our surf gear
It seats 7
It wheels great
I had a CJ once and I hated it. No room for my toys, like skateboards, surfboards, snowboards, etc. JKU is the best vehicle ever produced.

I have a 2011 2 door. I believe the 2 door is more manly of a vehicle. More reasons below.
1. You can take less people with you. Unless you want more people get a JKUMV so when you go hiking, get lost you have more to eat.
2. Having a JK is more of a challenging vehicle. People think that size matters. Well, my friend it is actually how you use it.
3. Breakover angle...it costs more money, higher lift and larger tires to outfit a JKUMV compared to a JK.
4. A JKUMV looks like a glorified grocery getting, mall crawling, waxed up Hummer and are sometimes mistaken for one. A JK is a manly 2 dr full of awesome rugged goodness in a little package (which I might add with the same engine as JKUMV).
5. A JKUMV is more area to clean, which costs you in water, cleaning products, oh and time as well...wait! I don't clean my manly JK anyway.
6. I have just enough room for an extended weekend out it the sticks with my wife and dog. If I had gotten a JKUMV I would have had to take my kids too! Whew!
7. A JKUMV is the new mini van(MV). The JK is, well still a Jeep.
8. The mods for the JKUMV will cost you more than the rugged, manly JK.
9. When you see a JKUMV they always seem like they are just perfectly detailed, waxed up, and tires all shiny looking when I go through the drive through at Starbucks.
10. Chicks dig JK's.
11. Dogs dig JK's.
12. They cost more and to fill up too!
I will add more at later date.

I have no kids and live in a city. Hence, 2 door auto. ( among other reasons)
