Default JK wont turn over or give me codes

Tried the key combo read out and won't give me codes. Won't turn over either. I'm thinking battery. Any suggestions?

Got the code read out to come up. None came up. Dashes and then "done" engine light still on when key is in the "on" position. Still won't turn over

Does it click when you turn the key?
Do you have an automatic? If so, move the lever to neutral and try it. Or, push it more into Park and try it.

Other than that, faulty ground wire connections may be the culprit.

Moving it to neutral did nothing. Just a click

had the same problem about 2 months ago in my 2007 JK. Read all the threads about the possible problems with the computer and tipm and tried neutral. Turned out, just a dead battery.

What year is yours, your battery could be approaching EOL.

08. Factory battery so thats why I assumed it was just dead. The start up before it would just click, it was slow to turn over

Take a jumper cable and go from the battery NEGATIVE terminal to a mount bolt on the alternator bracket. If that works, the problem is bad ground wires/connections.

How old is your battery?

Fill out some of your vehicle information on your profile.

yeh, head over to sears and get yourself the diehard platinum. You can spend hours here reading about all the things it might be, and honestly, it might, but go for the most obvious first. Remember Occams Razor, when faced with competing hypotheses that are equal in other respects, selecting the one that makes the fewest new assumptions.

I'm on campus and no one has jumps (imagine that) I think I'm going to just go buy a new battery and see what happens
