Default JKUR Towed to Dealership Today (2nd time)

Same problem as once before... see link

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-t...broken-192604/

I dropped my wife off after picking her up for lunch today. I stopped the Jeep, shifted it into [PARK]. After she jumped out, I attempted to shift out of Park into Drive and the shifter wouldn't budge. It was locked in PARK, while the trans was actually stuck in [NEUTRAL]...

Last time dealership repaired, they had to order a complete shifter assembly from Jeep, taking ~3 days for the parts and repair. I'm expecting the same timeframe again.

For the stone throwers out there, I baby this thing by coming to a complete stop before shifting into Park or from Reverse-->Drive. This is definitely NOT a user error situation.

Anybody else encounter this? I can't believe this happened twice!

Jeff

Same thing happened to me when I stop for gas one time. Ended up the shift linkage was not put together properly. Luckily I have not had a repeat issue. Hope the dealership gets it right this time.

Jeep's back from the dealership... The shifter cable broke this time. I hope this is the last time it goes on a roll-back under my ownership!
