Brand new 07 jeep. With in the first thousand miles, roof leaks, tweeter replacements, clutch replacements (bearings x3), rear track bar bracket broken (stock, no lift), shifter popping out of gear constantly, power steering pump going out while stock, etc.

Dealer wouldn't help, Chrysler emails and phone calls went no where. I ended up paying out of pocket myself to fix this. Will never buy from jeep again. Only used jeeps that have been used for real.

You might have had problems with your jeep, but its not because you had some that every JK is the same. Im on my second JK and no problems so far with either of them. What i love about JK is that they are one of the simplest car or truck to work on on the market today. Have you tried to change the oil on one of the newest BMW's? Its a pain. They dont even have a dipstick. Jeeps you can rip all the carpet, the doors, the dash, lift it yourself and even the most retarded of doityourselfers can do regular maintenance on them. I dont think new jeeps are worstly built than older ones, i just think they just have more and more guizmos on them to go wrong, i would of prefered if they stayed the way they where before, simple and tuff.

Yea the old tower of power I6 was bullet proof! They weren't as efficient as our pentastar but man they'd run forever.

My 07 Rubi I bought new has been a tough and reliable SOB.

I rolled the die again picked up a 2012 Grand Cherokee for my wife recently.

My main concern is that if I have a parts failure, they will tell me it is on backorder for 3 months. That seems to be happening too much nowadays.

If all else fails, I still have my lifted 1984 Danger Ranger in the barn, with the carburated 302 HO I stuffed in it.

I know darn well that thing will start and go and it can be fixed with a hammer, duct tape, or baling wire.

No problems w/ my 11' JKUR w/ 18k miles, no rough use; except rattling doors and rear gate, no paint under the hinges, loose hood latches, worthless plastic front air dam, no power, poor auto. transmission, loose front suspension bolts, rattling front suspension, loose steering shaft, top leaks, loud "crack" sound from the bottom of the windshield whenever hitting a sharp dip or bump; almost all fixed. Jeep quality is a joke; this will likely be my last Jeep.

They're awesome vehicles , but the build quality sux...jeeps have their quirks but when its brandnew and not yet taken offroad it should not have issues..

No real problems with my 2012. The steering wheel squeaks a bit when turning right, and the steering wheel controls occasionally activate my phone when I haven't gone anywhere near the phone button. My right front speaker occasionally pops.

If I can say the same in a few years, I'll be happy.
